The AI4D programme

We focus on gender and other context-related factors of exclusion, and their intersection with responsible AI. By responsible AI, we mean equity in the use of data, the creation of algorithms, frameworks for expertise, and policies governing AI practice. Our network addresses cross-cutting issues relating to AI, gender equality and development. The network focuses on sub-Saharan Africa, with a medium-term objective of gender inclusion and a longer-term objective of gender equality.
