Rose Delilah Gesicho is a Kenyan expert in data science and artificial intelligence, recognised for her leadership in the development of African technology communities. With expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, data visualisation and natural language processing (NLP), she has led several high-impact analytical projects.
A dedicated mentor, she has supported more than 200 young professionals on their journey into data science and AI. As a technology community manager, she has coordinated a network of AI ambassadors across more than 30 African countries and helped implement initiatives such as the Microsoft Responsible AI programme, which has trained and raised awareness among more than 1,000 people about the challenges of artificial intelligence.
She is also a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in STEM, working through her mentoring, public speaking and awareness-raising activities to promote the participation of women and under-represented groups in the AI ecosystem.
