An engineer by training and a Congolese tech entrepreneur, Thérèse Kirongozi heads Women’s Technology, an innovation laboratory based in Kinshasa. It is recognised for having developed the first Intelligent Driving Robot (RRI), a solar-powered humanoid robot designed to regulate and monitor road traffic. His innovation has received several international awards, including the WorldSafe Award in Atlanta and the Women in Trade Award in London in 2018. Through its laboratory, it also develops technological solutions in the fields of water, energy, security and science education.
