IPAR is taking part in the sixth edition of SIPEN, which is being held on 16 and 17 February 2023 at the King Fahd Palace Hotel in Dakar.
Under the auspices of the committee on’UEMOA, the event is co-organised by the Organisation of Digital Professionals (OPTIC) in Senegal and the Association of ICT Professionals’ Organisations (ROPTIC) of the eight countries in the’UEMOA.
The 2023 event is being held alongside the National Employers’ Council conference (CNP) in Senegal, which brings together 33 sector-specific professional associations, including OPTIC, the most representative organisation in Senegal’s digital sector, which holds the chairmanship of ROPTIC.
IPAR In its forward-looking analysis, it has identified data and the responsible use of artificial intelligence as essential drivers in generating evidence for policies that are appropriate, effective and responsive to the needs of communities.
This trade fair will provide an opportunity to promote a number of IPAR’s initiatives relating to the digital economy:
- DUA (Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence Systems for the Well-being of All in West Africa)
- GRAIN (Gender and Responsible Artificial Intelligence Network)
- Agridata (as well as serving as a platform for stakeholders in the agricultural, forestry, livestock and fisheries sectors and related fields, it provides access to a range of comprehensive and reliable data and information sources on agriculture in Senegal)
- Climb (Climate-Induced Migration in Africa and Beyond: Big Data and Predictive Analytics)
