        "rendered": "<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le r\u00e9seau GRAIN a organis\u00e9, lundi 29 janvier 2025, une session de formation en ligne ax\u00e9e sur \u00ab Intelligence Artificielle et Genre \u00bb au profit des b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires du projet Grain par ailleurs membres dudit r\u00e9seau GRAIN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019objectif de la formation \u00e9tait entre autres de renforcer la compr\u00e9hension des participants quant \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9gration des perspectives de genre dans les initiatives d\u2019IA, d\u2019explorer le r\u00f4le des donn\u00e9es probantes dans la conception de solutions d&#8217;IA efficaces et inclusives ; de fournir des outils pratiques pour appliquer des approches sensibles au genre aux projets d&#8217;IA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anim\u00e9e par Sixtus Onyekwere, chercheur en d\u00e9veloppement international et expert en genre au Centre d&#8217;\u00e9tudes des \u00e9conomies africaines (CSEA), la formation a permis de sensibiliser sur l\u2019importance de l\u2019int\u00e9gration de la dimension de genre dans les processus d&#8217;innovation technologique, notamment d\u2019IA ; \u00e0 repenser la conception, le d\u00e9ploiement et l\u2019\u00e9valuation des syst\u00e8mes d\u2019IA \u00e0 travers le prisme de l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9, de l\u2019inclusion et de la justice sociale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La session a donn\u00e9 l\u2019occasion \u00e0 l\u2019expert genre de revenir sur les notions cl\u00e9 telles que les biais algorithmiques, de l\u2019intersectionnalit\u00e9 et d\u2019\u00e9thique de l\u2019IA. Elle a insist\u00e9 sur l\u2019id\u00e9e que l\u2019IA peut, soit renforcer les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s existantes, soit \u00eatre un levier de transformation positive, selon la mani\u00e8re dont elle est pens\u00e9e et appliqu\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En effet, si l\u2019intelligence artificielle est souvent per\u00e7ue comme objective, elle h\u00e9rite pourtant de biais qui peuvent \u00eatre pr\u00e9sents dans les donn\u00e9es, les algorithmes ou les \u00e9quipes qui la con\u00e7oivent. Ceux de genre peuvent avoir des cons\u00e9quences concr\u00e8tes notamment l\u2019exclusion de certaines populations, renforcement de st\u00e9r\u00e9otypes, d\u00e9cisions discriminatoires avec les algorithmes de recrutement, de cr\u00e9dit ou de justice pr\u00e9dictive. Des exemples de biais de genre ont \u00e9t\u00e9 partag\u00e9s par le formateur \u00e0 savoir : la reconnaissance faciale ; des outils de ressources humaines bas\u00e9s sur l\u2019IA, un diagnostic m\u00e9dical, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La session a \u00e9galement permis d\u2019aborder les m\u00e9thodes et outils permettant de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 une meilleure int\u00e9gration du genre tel que : des audits r\u00e9guliers des mod\u00e8les d\u2019IA pour d\u00e9tecter les biais sexistes et raciaux ; l\u2019int\u00e9gration des crit\u00e8res de diversit\u00e9 et d\u2019inclusion dans les indicateurs de performance des technologies ; encourager la diversit\u00e9 des profils dans les \u00e9quipes de conception : (femmes, minorit\u00e9s, personnes issues des sciences sociales) ; travailler une diversit\u00e9 d\u2019usagers finaux pour tester les outils dans des contextes vari\u00e9s ; collecter des donn\u00e9es repr\u00e9sentatives qui tiennent compte des diff\u00e9rences de genre ; Penser \u00e0 l\u2019impact social des innovations d\u00e8s la conception et non comme une r\u00e9flexion secondaire et mettre en place des m\u00e9thodes d&#8217;anonymisation et de d\u00e9-biassage des donn\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au terme de la pr\u00e9sentation, les discussions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019occasion pour les membres du r\u00e9seau d\u2019exprimer leur difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 op\u00e9rationnaliser ces bonnes pratiques dans certains contextes notamment (un manque de moyens, faible sensibilisation, r\u00e9sistance institutionnelle).
