{"id":19071,"date":"2023-10-05T20:33:23","date_gmt":"2023-10-05T18:33:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grain-africa.org\/?p=19071"},"modified":"2023-10-05T20:33:23","modified_gmt":"2023-10-05T18:33:23","slug":"virtual-launch-of-towards-afro-feminist-ai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grain-africa.org\/en\/lancement-virtuel-de-towards-afro-feminist-ai\/","title":{"rendered":"Virtual launch of \u201cTowards Afro-feminist AI\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pollicy, an award-winning feminist civic technology collective from East Africa, has announced the virtual launch of its forthcoming research project entitled \u201cTowards Afro-feminist AI\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The online event will take place on Wednesday 11 October, from 3.30 pm local time (GMT +3). The event aims to foster meaningful discussions on AI governance in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is worth noting that Pollicy has been at the forefront of research and advocacy on data and technology as tools for social change.
